According to researcher Brené Brown, Ph.D., shame is “the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging—something we’ve experienced, done, or failed to do makes us unworthy of connection.”
I have had this feeling many times and I’m sure you have too.
No matter how good looking, well put together, articulate, called, anointed, gifted, got-it-going-on we may be, ALL of us at some point struggle with shame and embarrassment.
And let’s face it, there are certain situations and parts of our lives that trigger that feeling even though we know that God loves us in spite of it all.
